Open-source, Cloud Platform to build Cloud Applications.
A platform that bridges the gap between server application and cloud application.> Enquire Now
An application that runs on cloud infrastructure and provides the necessary functional features to take full advantage of the distributed nature of the infrastructure is called a cloud application.
The Cloud Platform (a technology to develop a Cloud Application) should abstract and support easy development of the functional features required for a Cloud Application.
Characteristics of a Cloud Platform
The technology inherently should support sharing of resources across customers. The technology should be able to abstract this from the application developer.
Decoupled Application Architecture
Since the application is shared across customers in a cloud, they share a common code base. A shared code base cannot imply "one-size fits all". The technology has to have an ability to deploy multiple decoupled components and assemble them at runtime for each customer.
Easy On-boarding of Customers
The technology should be able to abstract and provide on-boarding features for a customer that will help reduce the cost and time of implementation of the product for a customer.
The technology should support development of a decoupled UI that can be varied based on customers. It should allow for easy extension of the data model (Be able to add or remove data fields) and provide an environment for easily adding and removing features in an application based on customer requirements.
Security and Data Protection
In a cloud application the software is created and owned by the ISV, while the data stored is owned by the customers of the ISVs. The technology should have an environment that inherently isolates data and provides a secure access to the customer data.
The cost structure of a cloud application can be a pay-per-user, pay-as-you-go or package and so on. The technology has to abstract and support easy implementation of these cost structures. For eg., be able to easily count the number of users using the product.
